Getting started
What is bpay?
bpay is a Nigerian payments app for buying airtime and data, paying bills, topping up cable TV, buying gift cards, eSIMs, flight tickets and more — all in one place.
How do I create an account?
Download bpay from the App Store or Google Play, tap 'Get started', and sign up with your phone number, email and a transaction PIN. Verification takes under a minute.
Is bpay free to use?
Yes — creating an account, funding your wallet and using core features is free. Some third-party services (like gift cards and eSIMs) may include a small service fee shown clearly before you pay.
Which devices does bpay work on?
bpay works on iPhone (iOS 13+) and Android (5.0+). A web version is also available at bpay.com for desktop users.
Payments
Which networks and billers do you support?
All major Nigerian telcos (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile, Smile), all DisCos (EKEDC, IKEDC, AEDC, IBEDC, PHCN, etc.), Multichoice (DSTV, GOtv), Startimes and most major internet providers.
How fast are transactions?
Airtime and data top-ups land in seconds. Bill payments typically settle within 1–3 minutes. If a transaction is delayed, we auto-reverse the funds to your wallet.
What happens if a payment fails?
Failed transactions are automatically reversed back to your bpay wallet. You'll see the reversal in your transaction history immediately — no need to contact support.
Can I schedule recurring payments?
Recurring payments for utility bills are coming soon. For now you can save beneficiaries to repeat any payment with one tap.
Wallet & funding
How do I fund my wallet?
Every bpay account comes with a dedicated virtual account number. Transfer to it from any Nigerian bank and the funds reflect in your bpay wallet instantly. You can also top up with a debit card.
Is there a wallet limit?
Unverified accounts have a daily limit of ₦50,000. Verified (KYC-complete) accounts have a daily limit of ₦5,000,000.
How do I withdraw to my bank?
Open the app, tap 'Withdraw', enter the amount and your bank details, and confirm with your transaction PIN. Withdrawals land in your bank account within minutes.
Security
Is my money safe with bpay?
Yes. Your wallet is protected by your transaction PIN, biometric lock and PCI-DSS encryption. We never share your data with third parties.
What if I forget my PIN or password?
Tap 'Forgot PIN' or 'Forgot password' on the sign-in screen. We'll guide you through a secure reset using your registered email and phone number.
What should I do if my phone is stolen?
